There are days when I simply don’t feel like working certain parts of my body or having to focus on just cardio. On those days I will do workouts that are less intensive but work specific body parts that I want to see a difference in. Sometimes thats all it takes to keep me going, knowing that I’m working on legs that day because I want to is better than not doing anything at all.
We all have days when we don’t want to do anything. Another trick that I use to stay focused on my fitness is to complete whole body workouts. Sometimes it may only be a 10 minute one but at least I know that in those 10 minutes I worked everything! These mini workouts can provide a little break for your body but just try not to make it a habit. If you can do more go for it!
My workouts always include at least one of these
- Jumping Jacks
- Lunge Jumps
- Mountain Climbers
- I will do circuit training, HIIT, and tabata workouts.
When working out try some positive affirmations. When I started my fitness journey 2 yrs ago I would always watch Popsugar videos and I hated how upbeat they were at first because I was so miserable working out but now I find that it pushes me just when I want to quit. So next time your working out instead of telling yourself “I can’t do it” try reminding yourself “Ok, I’ll do 2 more” then before you know it you’ll get to 2 and then feel like you can go even further and may end up doing 4 more. When your finished don’t forget to STRETCH. You wanna be able to do your best tomorrow. Hope this is helpful.
