SUMMER SKINCARE

We all love summer. Hot days, cold drinks, breezy nights, pools, hanging out with friends. Its the most relaxed and fun time of the year. I love being outside! During the day I love being in the sun and in the evenings I love to go for walks.

For me the summer season is a time where my clothing gets smaller which means more skin is showing πŸ˜‰ So this means that I have to keep my skin in mind. When its warmer I want to keep my skin moisturized and soft without feeling product slide all over my face. From winter to spring or spring to summer (depends on how hot the spring season gets) I switch from a heavier moisturizer to a lighter one. I also increase the spectrum of my SPF. During the winter months I typically wear one that ranges from 30-45 but in the summer I wear 70+.

I keep a sun screen in my car too. When I’m driving around my hands and arms are constantly being exposed to the sun, I want to keep my hands soft and youthful too so I have to protect them. A common misconception is that the more melanin you have (the dark your complexion) you don’t need SPF. Thats not true everyone should protect their skin from UV- rays. πŸ™‚

Another way that I keep my skin, specifically my face, neck, and chest soft is my night routine. For the last 3 years I have used the Korres Wild Rose products. They are used to moisturize and brighten the skin. They also smell like roses!
