When I’m at home I like making my own salad dressings. Its just a habit that I picked up while working on my fitness and being out of salad dressing. lol! I like to do it because it is super simple and you know exactly what ingredients are going inside of your body. The recipes down below can be made individually for you or for a larger party since they are simple ingredients and you can always grab them right out of your pantry. πŸ™‚



1- Tbsp Olive Oil

1- Tbsp Red Wine Vinegar/ White Wine Vinegar

~ Salt and pepper if desired


This is the base I use for any salad dressing. Depending on what I am putting in the salad determines the amount of ingredients and which vinegar I use. I also may add extra ingredients to my salad dressings.


– Lemon Juice (fresh)

– onion

– Parmesan Cheese

– Garlic

Really its customizable based on your taste but these basic ingredients a usually a good mix. From what I have tried you can’t go wrong with these.

I find that lemon juice pairs well with Β fruits like oranges, apples, pears, and blueberries. I also like it with chicken and fish. However, I wouldn’t pair it with . . well there isn’t much I wouldn’t pair it with because I love fresh lemon but I think you can use your own judgement to determine what you like. πŸ™‚
